Online posts have since added dramatic claims: that Thomas “confessed” Meghan rewrote her past, that unearthed photographs exposed a secret Hollywood lifestyle, and that the Duchess reacted emotionally.
None of those claims has been supported by the verified reporting. Thomas’s public message focused on reconciliation, love for his daughter, and his wish to meet his grandchildren.
The family history is genuinely painful. Thomas admitted staging paparazzi photographs before Meghan’s wedding, and Meghan later said he was not truthful with her about his communications with the press.
