Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor was born on May 6, 2019, at the Portland Hospital in Westminster, London. His birth certificate, released publicly in 2019, identifies Meghan as his mother and Prince Harry as his father.

The certificate initially listed Meghan under her legal name, Rachel Meghan Markle, before it was amended to read “Her Royal Highness the Duchess of Sussex.” Buckingham Palace said the change was dictated by the Palace and was not requested by Harry or Meghan.
